Community Connections Program
Building friendships, reducing isolation, and creating inclusive opportunities for individuals with disabilities and the broader community through free and low-cost social events, educational activities, volunteer opportunities, and community engagement.
Community Programs
The Community Connections Program is ONE - USA's flagship community inclusion initiative. The program is designed to reduce social isolation and strengthen communities by bringing people together through safe, welcoming, and inclusive activities.
Participants can attend a variety of events including bowling nights, walks in local parks, game nights, holiday celebrations, educational workshops, community service projects, support groups, advocacy events, and other recreational outings.
The program welcomes individuals with disabilities, their families, caregivers, friends, and community members who support inclusion. Accommodations are provided whenever reasonably possible to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate.
ONE - USA believes meaningful friendships and strong community relationships improve quality of life, promote independence, and create healthier communities for everyone.
